In 1995, he founded LKF Environment & Education, Inc., an environmental consulting and oil-spill recovery company. In 1997, he completed a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Indiana University. In 1998, he relocated to New York to pursue an acting career. In 2005, he married Married Diane Kolack and Teddy Kolack was born in October 2013.
