Hrafn Gunnlaugsson (born 17 June 1948; Reykjavik) is an Icelandic film director. He is the brother of mathematician 脼orvaldur Gunnlaugsson and the lawyer Sn忙d铆s Gunnlaugsd贸ttir and the actress Tinna Gunnlaugsd贸ttir. He is mostly known for his series of Viking films, sometimes called "Cod Westerns". He was married to Edda Kristj谩nsd贸ttir and they have four children: Kristj谩n born 1968 who is a poet and playwright, Tinna who is an actress, S贸l who is an art designer and 脰rk who is an artist and was born in 1993. He won the award for Best Director at the 20th Guldbagge Awards for When the Raven Flies.
