She gradually falls in love for him. Wai Sum knows Kuen Sai Kit, a rich man, in the Sing-a-Long. They both loves music and Kit has a good impression on Sum who gets an attractive appearance. Sai Kit prefers to develop a career of his own on music. However, his father, Siu Hai, wants him to continue the family business and forces him to take the‧ business studies. Sai Kit secretly changes the course. His father stops him for doing that and conflicts between the two is thus created. Sai Kit, for the sake of Wai Sum, chats with Ka Ki and finds that he is pleasant and brave. Sai Kit treats Ki as his idols and respects him. They eventually become good friends.

Fat finally has died and Ki feels very painful and sad. When Ki brings Fat's ashes back to the crematorium in Macau, he meets Lam Siu Man. They talk a lot. However, Siu Man has an traffic accident and is injured. She is then being sent to the hospital. Ki sees that she is alone and decides to stay in Macau to look after her. However, Sum manifests that she has already fallen in love with somebody else and rejects him in a round about way. Kit feels very disappointed. Siu Hai discovers Chuan has cheated him and forces him to pay the debts within a week. Instead of obeying Hai, he plots together with King Keung to kill Hai.

Hong Ting searches Ki's business house and clears up many illegal gambling-house. Wong Kam Sing knows Ting is Ki's brother and blames Ting too stringent. However, Ki understands that Ting is a new appointed inspector and he has to perform. Therefore, Ki vindicates for Ting. The police suspects Ki has involved in illegal-drug trafficking and sends Ting to investigate Ki. This puts Ting into a dilemma.

Kit is then degenerated as a street wanderer and is too late to regret. Sum then concentrates on her career as a singer and hopes to use her songs to awaken Ki .
