Sunday Best is a reality television Gospel singing competition series which airs on BET. Each season the show and its judges set out to find the best undiscovered gospel talent in America. Finalist compete each week until a winner is crowned. Current judges of the competition are Gospel singers Yolanda Adams CeCe Winans and Donnie McClurkin, former host include Mary Mary & Bebe Winans. Gospel singer Kim Burrell serves as the contestants mentor, and the program is hosted by Kirk Franklin. The Sunday Best winner receives a national recording contract, a new automobile, and an undisclosed cash prize benefiting his or her community as well as the title of 'Sunday Best'. Season one runner up Shari Addison also scored a recording contract, as well as season two runner up Jessica Reedy although her contract was not rewarded from the show. On the season 4 finale, host Kirk Franklin announced that the series would be returning for a 5th season next year. The 5th season premiered Sunday, July 8, 2012. Season 5 ended with a 2 hour special on September 2, 2012. The winner of the 5th season is Joshua Rogers from Greeleyville, South Carolina. He made history as the first male contestant to win the Sunday Best title. Kirk Franklin announced at the close of Sunday Best 6 that there will be a season 7. Season 7 will premier on July 2014.

Sunday Best is a reality television series on BET. For Season Two episode tapings were moved from Los Angeles, CA to Atlanta, GA. This season started with 20 contestants, as of which 10 performed and 10 were eliminated on the same night. The final four were Zebulon Ellis, Latice Crawford, Jessica Reedy, and Y'Anna Crawley. Zebulon Ellis was eliminated, and in the following episode Latice Crawford was eliminated. America voted for the winner, either Jessica Reedy or Y'Anna Crawley. On May 11, 2009, the winner of Season 2 was announced as Y'Anna Crawley.

Sunday Best is a gospel-singing reality television competition on BET. The third season of Sunday Best saw the removal of Bebe Winans as a judge amid personal scandal. Winans was replaced by Donnie McClurkin and Erica was replaced by Yolanda Adams. Kim Burrell joined the cast of Sunday Best in Season 3 as the contestant's mentor. The season began taping in April 2010 and aired from May 2010 to June 20, 2010. The winner of Sunday Best's third season was Le'Andria Johnson, 27, crowned over finalist Elder Goldwire McLendon, 79 on June 20, 2010. More than 2 million Americans voted in the Sunday Best season 3 finale to crown Johnson the winner. Johnson, a 27-year-old mother of three at the tine of her win, was awarded a recording contract and a 2010 Ford SHO. Le’Andria's debut album "The Awakening of Le'Andria Johnson" debuted on the Billboard Gospel album charts at #1, and has maintained the position for 2 weeks. The album also peaked at #8 on Billboard’s Independent Record Label chart, #29 on the Billboard Overall Digital Albums chart and #24 on Billboard 200. Le’Andria will be releasing "Christmas Best", a Christmas EP on November 21, 2011 exclusively to Best Buy, and Nationally December 6, 2011. Making her the first winner of Sunday Best to release more than one project so far.

Sunday Best is a gospel-singing reality television competition on BET. The fourth season of Sunday Best saw the removal of Yolanda Adams as a judge and the Returning of Erica as a judge. Season 4 of Sunday Best began auditioning/taping in March 2011. The season began airing in July 2011 and concluded on September 11, 2011. Season 4's finalists were Michael Pugh, Andrea Helms and Amber Bullock, who was crowned the winner during the two-hour season finale. The two hour finale show featured performances from gospel music artists Pastor Shirley Caesar, former Sunday Best judge Yolanda Adams, gospel duo Lecrae, and singers VaShawn Mitchell, Zebulon Ellis, Jessica Reedy and Rance Allen, and the winners of the first three seasons of Sunday Best. Bullock, who is from St. Louis, Missouri, was awarded a new Ford Explorer, a recording contract and the "Sunday Best" title.
