Pebbles accidentally gives the fuel and the formula to the junkman and must find a way to retrieve it before the race. In doing so, the kids find a flaw in the formula and work to correct it. A series of mishaps leaves Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm substituting for their fathers in the race.

Thinking that Mrs. Gruesome may have the gift with her, the gang then crashes a Gruesome family reunion, and Bamm-Bamm is mistaken for a cat burglar.
