Sunset Grove

Ehtoolehto is based on Minna Lindgren's best-selling book Death in Ehtoolehto–a murder mystery that deals with aging and friendship and is about three 90-year-old women, Siiri, Irma and Anna-Liisa, who have become friends in a nursing home where all is not well. The director of the home, Sinikka Sundström, is a gentle-hearted gossip who doesn't want to know anything about any unpleasant things. The cold-blooded ward nurse Virpi Hiukkanen has taken over, commanding both the residents and her husband Erkki, who works as the caretaker at Sunset Grove. Goods and even residents are disappearing from Sunset Grove's apartments. Something is strange about the medicine distribution. When everyone's favorite, the chef Tero, dies unexpectedly under strange circumstances, and the social worker Pasi also disappears, the friends begin to figure out what is really going on. They are helped by Mika, a member of the motorcycle club and a good friend of Tero's.
