Television broadcast 2 is intended to act as a sort of summary to the mainstream developments in architecture and design in Europe up to 1900. Tim Benton looks at some of the architecture and interior design of this mammoth turn-of-the-century celebration and shows that, far from being dominated by Art Nouveau, the Exhibition’s most marked features were eclectic and nationalist.
