History's Influence

Overview

Although many of the main characters are based upon fictional ones from Robert Lewis Stevenson's Treasure Island, others are based on real-life pirates. This featurette discusses the real history of pirates and how the series tries to incorporate much of that history into the depiction of events seen on the show.
