Overview

Life in Houston's Fifth Ward as seen through the eyes of some of its residents including single mom, Mina (Mýa) and her sons (Jefferson, Wilson). Councilman Davis (Payne) maneuver through political minefields with the Mayor (Temple) and Rev. Parker (Jolivette). Officer Robert Kennedy (Tommy) embraces his past in Fifth Ward after a promotion. The Tran family moves into Fifth Ward. Neigborhood club owner, Blue (Sturgis), makes a romantic move.
